Sam Wood (born August 9, 1986 in London) is an English professional footballer currently playing for Football League Two side Brentford. Wood is a left-sided player who can play either at full back or on the wing.
Wood began his career at Cray Wanderers before signing for Bromley in 2005. Wood won the Supporters' Player of the Year award in 2006 and the Club Player of the Year in 2007. His performances attracted interest from professional clubs, and this eventually materialised with a move to Brentford in May 2008.
