Sam Tagataese (born December 8, 1986 in Wellington, New Zealand) is a rugby league player for the Melbourne Storm.
Sam attended St Bernards College in Lower Hutt,playing First fifteen Rugby and also received Sportsman of the year in 2003.
Sam Left Wellington To Melbourne Storm feeder Brisbane Norths, his talent made him get selected for the Queensland under 19's and Junior Kiwis in 2004. He was also chosen to represent the Junior Kangaroos but turned them down showing his allegiance to the Kiwis.
Sam made his first Grade NRL Debut for the Melbourne Storm on Saturday 7th April 2007 against the Newcastle Knights At Energy Australia Stadium.
Tagataese is set to move to the Gold Coast Titans after signing to a two year-deal to start in 2009.[1]
