Sam Simmons is a comedian who was born on March 19, 1977, in Adelaide. He is now based in Melbourne, Australia.
Sam often has shows in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival
INCLUDING THE FESTIVAL DIRECTORS AWARD WINNING "WHERE CAN I WIN A BEAR ARIOUND HERE?" in 2008
Sam received a nomination in the 2006 Barry Award,nominated for most outstanding comedy during the Melbourne International comedy festival. The award in honour of Barry Humphries. He was the winner of the best emerging comedy award at the 2006 Adelaide Fringe festival.
Sam performed Sam Simmons and the Sex & Science of Boredom in Adelaide in March 2007 as part of the Fringe Festival.
Sam started at Triple J in 2006 where he worked as a disk jockey. He began with presenting the Mid-Dawn shift (1am-6am) during the week.
On January 21, 2007, Sam started his Saturday night / Sunday morning program The Tuck-Shop on Triple J (1am-6am).
From January 12, 2008, Sam is the presenter of Weekend Breakfast (6am-10am). currently Sam presents on Triple JTV and is in production with ABC1 TV to make his comedy series; The Urban Monkey, due late 2008.
