Sam Rayburn High School is a public high school located in Pasadena, Texas in the United States. The school is a part of the Pasadena Independent School District.
The school opened in 1964 and was expanded and renovated in the early 2000s.[2] It is named for Sam Rayburn, a Texas native who served as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives for 17 years. The school mascot is the Texan.

The school was named after Samuel Taliaferro Rayburn, a member of Texas House of Representatives and the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.[3]
In 2007 Johns Hopkins University referred to Rayburn as a "dropout factory" [4].

The Senior Class of 2008 is raising money for this year's prom. On saturday February 23 the annual Blue Bonnet Belle and Beau Pagent will take place.
