Samantha Nixon is a fictional character in the ITV drama The Bill. Sam first arrived in Sun Hill in 2002. As DI, Nixon is a CID officer she does not have a callsign and in radio communications is simply referred to as "DI Nixon". Sam is played by Lisa Maxwell
45 year old Samantha Nixon is a single mother of Abi Nixon (Georgia Moffet) and mother in law of Hugh Wallis.
Samantha arrived at Sunhill as a DS, in a small amount of time she was promoted to Acting DI. After nearly a year she was demoted, to DS. Neil Manson was given her job, which left her devestated. In January 2007 she was again promoted to DI, she now works alongside Manson on equal footing.
