Sam Kantimathi (from El Dorado Hills, CA) is an American Scrabble player. He is an aerospace engineer by profession. [1]

- Winning the Gold Medal in the Philippines Invitational in 1997, ahead of World Scrabble Championship veterans
- Awarded "Best Strategic Play" in the US Nationals in 1998
- Guinness Book of World Records: Highest Score in opening play, 124 for BEZIQUE
- Won the Thailand International in 1994 and was twice the runner-up
- Has won expert level Scrabble tournaments in more countries than anyone: USA, Canada, UK, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and New Zealand.
