Sam Jacobs (born March 4, 1938) is an American cleric. From 1989 to 2003 he was bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Alexandria in Louisiana. Since October 10, 2003 he is bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.[1]
Bishop Jacobs is a former chairman of the U.S. National Service Committee of Catholic Charismatic Renewal and Chairman of the U.S. and Chairman of the U.S Bishops Committee on Catholic Charismatic Renewal.[citation needed]
