Sam Hurrell

Sam Hurrell (born July 13, 1988) is an English footballer who is currently unattached. He grew up in Ickenham and attended Vyners School. He played for North Greenford United from 2003 - 2005.

Hurrell won the Football Icon competition on Sky One in 2005 and won a professional contract with Chelsea. He played for Chelsea's youth team, although he made a couple of appearances for the reserves. He also played in the 2006 Milk Cup

He was released at the end of the 2007 season and had a trial with Leyton Orient and has also had a trial with Bradford City, but was unsuccessful in being offered a contract.

Currently Hurrell is training with Northampton Town, with the view to achieving a permanent deal.

Sam is considering taking up an opportunity to enrol at Roehampton University on a Sports course. He is also considering a scholarship deal with an American university if all else fails.
