Sam Crane (born c. 1980) is a British actor who has mainly worked in theatre. He was listed in New York Magazine as one of London's hottest young stage actors and was nominated for the Ian Charleson Award in 2008.
Crane is a member of the Old Vic New Voices scheme. He attended the Royal Court Young Writers Programme, and has had work performed at the Old Red Lion Theatre and Hampstead Theatre.
In 2008 he will appear in ...some trace of her, Katie Mitchell's free adaptation of Dosteovsky's The Idiot, at the National Theatre.

He is the son of playwright Richard Crane and theatre director Faynia Williams. He studied at Oxford University, and LAMDA where he was awarded the Nicholas Hytner Scholarship. He is married to filmmaker Pinny Grylls.
