[edit] AML and WP:MED
You seem to be medically inclined. Consider joining WP:MED, the WikiProject for medical contributors to Wikipedia!
On acute myeloid leukemia you removed the {{reflist}} tag, which determines placement of th footnotes. Do please be careful with this. I'll fix it. JFW | T@lk 12:13, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message
Good for joining the WikiProject! Now, I would recommend you have a look at the footnotes page. Simply adding a numbered reference at the bottom doesn't quite work as well as using <ref>text...</ref> If you are linking to a textbook, you can replace "text..." with {{cite book}} (see that page for instructions on its use), and journal articles can be linked with {{cite journal}}. If the article you want to cite is indexed on PubMed, simply feeding the PubMed ID (PMID) into this off-wiki tool generates an automated reference for you! JFW | T@lk 21:00, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Greetings from WikiProject Medicine!
Welcome to WikiProject Medicine!
I noticed you recently added yourself to our Participants' list, and I wanted to welcome you to our project. Our goal is to facilitate collaboration on medicine-related articles, and everyone is welcome to join (regardless of medical qualifications!). Here are some suggested activities:
- Read our Manual of Style for medical articles
- Join in editing our collaboration of the week (the current one is Physiotherapy)
- Discuss with other members in the doctor's mess
- Have a look at some related WikiProjects
- Have a look at the collaboration dashboard
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page, or feel free to ask me on my talk page.
Again, welcome! --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 18:21, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] March 2008
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Acute myeloid leukemia. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. [edit] Genetics article: New gene expression paragraph
Copied from Talk:Genetics#New gene expression paragraph (please respond on that talk page):
What is the need for this new paragraph added to the gene expression section: [1] ? I don't understand what need it's addressing. It's introducing a lot of jargon and is redundant with the later information. I'd like to know the reason for the addition? -- Madeleine ✉ ✍ 13:36, 15 May 2008 (UTC) Madeleine;Hi Madeleine; don`t be upset Madeleine, anybody have a point of view, i try to explain the whole mechanism, but may be a lot of information and confusing, let me try another defintion under this heading more simplified. bye and thank you.
