[edit] User tslk transfer
User talk:Marika Herskovic has not been transferred yet to User talk:Salmon1. What am I supposed to do? Thank you. Salmon1 14:12, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Salmon1! Here's how to do it. I've created an archive link (the redlink above) for you to use in this. Here's the steps:
- Go to your old talk page, and move it. In the new title space, enter:
-
-
- User talk:Salmon1/Herskovic_archive
-
- In the reason space, enter:
-
- Archiving old user talk page
-
- After that move has been done, what will be left on your old talk page is a redirect. Go back there, and click on the "history" tab, then, call up the second most recent edit. Once it's on screen, click "edit this page" and then save it without making any actual edits. This will break the redirect to your new username (so they won't be connected) and will restablish the old talk page to the last edit, which is required for WP historical purposes.
- As always, if you have any questions or need more help, drop me a line. Akradecki 15:54, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Dear Akradecki!
I followed your protocol. The second most recent edit had nothing there. Nevertheless I saved the edit page. I still have nothing on my User talk:Salmon1 from the previous User talk:Marika Herskovic. I hope I am not in more trouble. Thank you for your help. I cannot believe how lucky I am. Sincerely Yours, Salmon1 17:41, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
No, it's all good. Just click on the now-blue link at the top of this page, and you have access to your old talk page. Akradecki 03:30, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
No, you're not in more trouble! You just spelled it differently than the way the link was set up (you used a capital A in "Archive"). I fixed the link above, and now everything should be fine.Akradecki 22:39, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

- Should I follow the protocl again?

- I did follow the protocol again. I wonder whether if it worked?
