Andretta is a town (commune) located in the province of Avellino, in the Campania region of Italy. It is situated in the Appenine Mountains, not far from the source of the River Ofanto.

Andretta is twinned with the Town of Ramapo, New York.

While the first written mention of Andretta dates from an 1124 document declaring the town as part of the fiefdom of the Follevilles, a family of Norman lords, archaeological excavations show Bronze Age activity as well as Samnite and Roman settlements dating from the fourth century BCE.

The town continued to exist under various lords...
