[edit] "unsourced" tag

i removed the "unsourced" tag. could you please provide some examples of statements in the article that are in need of sourcing? (to me, the article seems largely descriptive and uncontroversial.) thanks. Lunch 02:49, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] is there a geologist aroud there ?

This article NEEDS to be corrected by a geologist. No kidding, it's a mess, with many wrong sentences... Geojide 15:08, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

could you elaborate on at least some of the "many wrong sentences"? what's wrong with them? what's a good source (book, journal, or whatnot) to use? thanks. Lunch 18:57, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
For instance, the "prehistoric times", or the depositions within seas. I don't speak a good enough english to correct. Geojide 05:17, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

I've added to the first paragraph and changed some of the wording, deposition within seas did sound slightly vauge so I changed to "restricted marine basins" also provided links in the text to the Messinian Salinity crisis and Kara-bogaz as examples of salt deposition. The rest seems fine ClimberDave 12:33, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
