Why "Salt Fork Arkansas River"? I've never seen it refered to that way, and the syntax isn't sound. "Salt Fork of the Arkansas River" would make more sense. Lobosolo 02:16, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- I started the article, and did give some thought to the matter. I went with the construction used by GNIS, which seeks "to promote the standardization of feature names." (Links are at end of article.) DeLorme and Dorling Kindersley atlases also use it; The Columbia Gazetteer uses "Salt Fork of..." (link also in article). I have two road atlases that use "Salt Fork of the..." Malepheasant 03:34, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
