[edit] "Art film"

It's going to be difficult to do a good search online for a source for "Salomé is often called one of the first art films to be made in the U.S." precisely because the much-reproduced ad copy for a reissue of the film makes the claim, and hence the phrase "Hailed as America's first art film" is associated with it all over the Web. I think the claim is legitimate, but I'm not sure how to cite well for it. - Jmabel | Talk 04:17, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
