[edit] Pat Brown

I've removed the part that declared as a fact that Brown raided the bordello in order to generate headlines him that would put him into office as governor. I'm not naive to the ways of politics, so I'm certainly not denying that that may be true. But given WP:BIO, that seems a specious thing to put into the article, stating it factually, with no citation at all to back it up. It may be true, but with no citation it smacks of original research or speculation. Especially considering that Brown didn't run for governor until three elections after the raid.

Like I say, I'm not saying it necessarily isn't true. But if it's going to be in there, it needs to have a citation when it's added back. Mwelch 03:58, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
