Salvia leucantha is a sub-shrubby plant in the genus Salvia that is native to eastern Mexico. It is not frost hardy, but is often grown in warmer latitudes for its velvety blue or purple flowers.
It grows up to 1.2 m (3.9 ft) high, with numerous erect stems, often arching at their tips, and with long pendulous inflorescences.
