Salvatore Foti (born 8 August 1988 in Palermo) is an Italian football player, in the position of striker.

He plays for Messina, on loan from U.C. Sampdoria and Udinese Calcio.

[edit] Football career

A youngster with an extremely bright future, Foti currently plays at U.C. Sampdoria, where he occasionally featured under the guidance of Walter Novellino. Foti joined the club in mid-2005 after his previous team, Venezia, disbanded because of financial troubles.

He was sold to Udinese Calcio in summer 2006 in co-ownership deal (ie. 50%), as Udinese are keen to invest in youth. He was loaned back to Sampdoria in first half of 2006-07 season, and second half on Vicenza Calcio.

In 2007-08 season, he spent first half on Samp again but on the bench, and second half on F.C. Messina Peloro.

Foti is left footed and can play as a left winger or central striker. He is very good in the air due to his height but is also a very skilful and quick player.
