Salvatore Cusato is an Italian dj producer who also records under Dj Discoking and Casco. Casco has been recording in the 70's, 80's and 90's.
Awarded in his home Italy as best 'disco dj' on 1978 firstly and later on 1985, in 2005 Salvatore Cusato entered the official 'hall of fame' of best djs of 'disco-era' as one of the top 100 historical djs of the planet counting 35 years of carrier behind the turntables and 22 years as italodance producer. Salvatore Cusato was born in Crotone and rose in Genoa where he started deejaying in 1971. Pioneer Professional Disc-Jockey of A.I.D. (Associazione Italiana Disc-Jockey) since the year of foundation 1975. In 1977 Salvatore was voted by a National referendum in Italy best 'Disco-DJ' on weekly magazine Eva-Express. In 1983 the artist debuted his producer career recording "Cybernetic Love" for CGD at Studio G in Genoa. Since then he produced and released more than 50 singles worldwide achieving Gold status in 1997 with "Comanchero" by Robin Cook (Stockholm Records/Polygram) recorded by Jonas Ekfeldt in Gotenborg (Sweden). For more than one decade (1980-90) Casco has worked as a musical journalist contributor for various European Music Magazines (Jocks Mag UK- Discomix UK - Only for Djs France - Dance Music Magazine Italy).
His producer career started with Casco "Cybernetic love" made in '83 and nowadays considered a cult of electro italo disco and one of more sought-after and futuristic songs of the 80's decade.
During 1990 Cusato reached the top ten in Euromix UK charts (Record Mirror) as Artist under the name of Cusato with his production "The Captain of her heart" (original label [[Disco[[Magic released worldwide on Zyx-Vogue-Epic), a big hit compilation all over the planet and hit in Japan, followed by another 80's hit in Asia, the production of “Monkey Monkey” by Flo Astaire (Avex Japan) for the legendary italo label Memory Records. Furthermore, his successful remix of "Tu" sung by the famous Italian singer Umberto Tozzi (CGD Italy). DJ Cusato made a long tour in Germany performing the "La Notte Italiana" ('Italienisch Nacht'). In 97 he was awarded Gold as producer with "Comanchero" by Robin Cook out on Polygram worldwide: in Scandinavia this track reached the n.5 of the most sold record of the year. After the remake of "Latin America 2000" re-sung by the original artists Gibson Brothers, he worked on the remix of the classic "Don't Let me be Misunderstood" by Santa Esmeralda. In summer 2000 Cusato started to use the nick DJ Discoking producing the disco/house track "My Love"(BMG Switzerland) for the Lake Parade: the annually giant open air rave event in Geneva .In 2001 he released a gorgeous triple cd box collector 70's Selection by DJ Discoking^(Baur Music Switzerland). In 2002 he produced the happy techno remix "X-Files theme 2002" by DJ Dado (label Do it yourself Milano) and in summer 2004 he made another dance hit (on top in Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, Canada and Brazil) with the remake of Ricchi & Poveri 80's hit “Sara perche ti amo” by Eu4ya ( coproduced with Dieffe Milan and out on label Do It Yourself).
In the same year the re-release of the 80's italo electro clash cult Casco presents BWH “Stop /Living Up" (Radius-News Belgium). on 2005 the production of newcomer Agnes (from 'Idol' Poland) reaching the official German dj charts with tracks by Gelateria Italiana “Storie di tutti i giorni/Tonights the night” released from Korea to South Africa and "I feel Alive" coproduced with Malta Free Time Production (Album "Orange" by DJ Happy Vibes). Salvatore Cusato was back on 2006 to his electro roots with the remix of "Cybernetic love' by the Dutch electro specialist Dexter and at beginning of 2007 released of his Album collection ”The Cyber Album”. On same year he launched his digital label Music Control releasing several Disco Dance Latino Compilations on all major digital platforms worldwide.
Still in 2007 coproduced with his favourite Milan team of Wimpy Music Eu4ya meets Elissa “Tanti Auguri” climbing in May 2007 the Russian charts (MTV Compilation Euro Charts 4) released in all Cis Countries. Track 'El hocha loca' produced by Salvatore Cusato was enclosed in soundtracks of movies as 'The hot Chick' (starring Rob Schneider) and 'Proof' (starring Anthony Hopkins).
