Salvador Cabrera Aguirre (born August 21, 1973 in Mexico City) is a Mexican professional football midfielder currently playing for Necaxa in Aguacalientes, Mexico.

Cabrera is a Necaxa veteran, playing with the team since his debut November 27, 1994, where Necaxa tied with now-defunct Toros Neza 1-1. His great midfield skills caught the eye of Mexican national team coach Manuel Lapuente, who called on Cabrera to play for Mexico on various occasions. When Lapuente was named coach of Mexico City's Atlante in 2001, he requested Cabrera's services. It was because of good players, like Cabrera, that saved Atlante from going to the Primera División A division. Later, he was traded back to Necaxa for the Verano 2002 tournament. After a brief stop with Puebla, he was once again returned to Necaxa and has been there ever since.
