Salomo of Makuria
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Salomo or Solomon was a ruler of the Nubian kingdom of Makuria (1080–1089). According to P.L. Shinnie, contemporary accounts record that he was buried at the monastery of St George in Khandaq. While the remains of this monastery have not been identified, Shinnie notes Khandaq has abundant Christian ruins.1
