Salman Al-Abbasi

Salman Rashed Abdullah Al-Abbasi (سلمان راشد عبدالله العباسي) is an Arabian Sunni Muslim Poet originally from Saudi Arabia.

  • Born in The Kingdom Of Bahrain on Monday the 3rd of November 1986 and has the Bahraini nationality.
  • Grandson of late sheikh Abdullah Al-Abbasi who lived in the city Dammam in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and said to marry more the 40 wives.
  • Grandson of the late sheikh Salman Kamal (1903-1985) who was one of the well-known people in Bahrain to spread knowledge, education and books.
  • Joined the British Council during early childhood to gain English education.
  • Studied in West Riffa school in Bahrain, the same school said that King Hamad of Bahrain and some officials studied in back in time.
  • Now is said that he is continuing higher education abroad.

The name said to be from a god worshipped in pre-Islamic southern Arabia, but other verify that the name is a male Arabic given name that comes from the root of S-L-M and means "blessing" or "peace".

  • (Surname-Family name) / AL-ABBASI /

The name derived from Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (566 – 662), one of the youngest uncles of the prophet Muhammad of Islam as the family is a descent and carries the hashemite royal Blood.

  • Wrote a variety of poetry in Arabic which has different reading intensities by readers and wrote also few English poetry classified as good trials.
  • Participated in a Poetry reading at MUB in 2006, which was the last place to be publicly seen.
