Salma Jahani (Persian:سلما جهانی) is a Tajik singer from Afghanistan. She is sister to Haidar Salim and wife to Rahim Jahani, both of whom are singers. Salma was born in November 27, 1952. Her parents names are Taher and Abeda Amerie. Her brothers names are-Omar (oldest), Akbar (middle), and Haidar (youngest). She also has one older sister named Parwin. Salma's birth name is Soraya Amerie. She married Rahim Jahani and has three children-two daughters (Salma and Sonbol) and one son (Rahe).
She had released three albums together with Ahmad Wali in late 1970s which brought her more fame in Afghan Music Industry. The song she is most famous for singing is called Mulah Mohmad Jon.
