Sally Shipard

Sally Shipard (born October 20, 1987 in Tumut, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian international football (soccer) midfielder. Shipard is currently playing for the Australian Institute of Sport and captains the Young Matildas. She is a member of the Australia women's national football team competing in the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup. A midfielder with great endurance. She acknowledges that her weakness is 'heading, never been a fan'.[citation needed]

Shipard grew up in Wagga Wagga and played her junior football with Wagga PCYC.[1]
