Sally Jackson is a fictional character from Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians. She is the mother of Percy Jackson, a half-blood (part human, part god) who is the son of Poseidon. She is shown to be a very sweet and kind lady, which is probably why Poseidon tells Percy, "Your mother is a Queen among mortals." She is also known to love her son immensely, which is why she marries Gabe Ugliano (or "Smelly Gabe," as Percy calls him). As Grover tells Percy,:"His aura. It's so strong. It covers anyone's' scent." Which proves that Sally married him to protect Percy from monsters. She also sacrifices her life in order to save Percy from the minotaur (although Percy brings her back later).
[edit] Characteristics
Sally is sweet and good natured, as well as tolerant (shown when she puts up with Gabe.) She is also shown to have a rebellious streak (only making blue food after a disagreement with Gabe and not taking the name "Ugliano."). She also loves Percy a lot.
