Saline seep

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A saline seep is an expanse of salt crystals forming when salty water that reaches the surface evaporates. It is often considered a negative for agriculture, in that it may reduce yields and restrict growth. [1] Various types of water flow form saline seeps, including capillary action from a water table under the surface, and a water table being brought to the surface.
