Saline is a village in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 296 at the 2000 census.

Saline is located at 32°9′51″N, 92°58′38″W (32.164170, -92.977127)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.1 km² (1.2 mi²), all land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 296 people, 111 households, and 85 families residing in the village. The population density was 96.9/km² (249.9/mi²). There were 133 housing units at an average density of 43.5/km² (112.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 74.66% White, 25.00% African American, and 0.34% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.69% of the population.

There were 111 households out of which 36.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.2% were married couples living together, 16.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.4% were non-families. 23.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 3.13.

In the village the population was spread out with 30.1% under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 25.0% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 15.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 102.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.7 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $26,500, and the median income for a family was $31,250. Males had a median income of $26,458 versus $16,719 for females. The per capita income for the village was $11,364. About 17.3% of families and 21.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 26.1% of those under the age of eighteen and 17.2% of those sixty five or over.
