Salgaocar Sports Club, found in 1956, is an Indian professional football club based in Vasco, Goa. They are sponsored by V. M. Salgaocar Group of Companies and is one of the most successful Goan outfits in recent years. They play in the I-League (Indian Professional League and Goa Professional League. Salgaocar SC became the first Goan side to win the NFL in 1998-99 under the guidance of coach Shabbir Ali.
Fatorda Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru Stadium is their home ground located in Margao. Salgaocar SC have won nineteen Goa League Champions, three Federation Cups, two Super Cups and won the NFL India 1998/1999. . Their home kit is mainly green with a bit of white. Their away kit is the inverse of their home kit. They are usually known to use the 4-4-2 formation.
