Salgado Filho International Airport (IATA: POA, ICAO: SBPA) is the airport in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
The passenger terminals are 37,600 m² and have 32 check-in counters. The airport is 6 km from downtown.
Salgado Filho International Airport is the first airport in Latin America with a movie theatre and a shopping mall.
In 2007, the airport handled 4,444,748 passengers and 68,827 aircraft movements[1], placing it 6th busiest Brazilian airport in terms of passengers.

[edit] Accidents and incidents
- July 17, 2007: TAM Airlines Flight 3054 flew from Salgado Filho to Congonhas Airport and crashed while attempting to land. All of the 187 passengers and crew members died.
