Salford City Academy (formely Canon Williamson C.E. High School, and before that Eccles C.E. High School) is a state comprehensive high school and academy situated in the Peel Green area of Eccles, Greater Manchester, England. Salford City Academy (known locally as Salford Academy) opened in 2006 after substantial redevelopment. The school was funded by The United Learning Trust. It currently holds training school status. Even though the school is named the Salford City Academy, it is not actually located in Salford but in the town of Eccles. Eccles lies within the boundries of Salford City Council.
A brand new sixth form is due to open in September 2007, catering for 200 students. It was developed at a cost of £1.8million.
