Bangladeshi scientist awarded FE Report
Bangladeshi scientist Saleemul Huq, head of the Climate Change Group at the London-based International Institute for Environment and Development, was awarded the prestigious Burtoni Award for contribution to climate change adaptation. The award is named after Canadian professor Ian Burton, a pioneer in the science of adaptation to climate change and a lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Reports. The award was presented to Huq in February 2007 on the first day of the three-day meeting on community-based adaptation to climate change in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
