Salal Bugti was born in Quetta, Balochistan on December 23, 1969.[citation needed]
He was assassinated in June 1992 on Jinnah Road, Quetta by members of the Kalpar tribe, a sub-clan of the Bugti tribe opposed to Nawab Akbar Bugti,[1] with the backing of many intelligence agencies of Pakistan.[citation needed] He was Nawab Bugti's second last child and last son from his first wife (who is of Bugti origin).[citation needed]
