Sakshi brought out in 23 multi-colored editions by Jagati Publication of which Y.S. Jaganmohan reddy, son of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, is the chairman.
Sakshi, with 30+ Pages, is colourful, reader friendly format, more clarity in news stories and easy segmentation of political, business, entertainment and sports news and use of the latest printing technology. Price is only 2 Rupees, which was less than a Rupees than the competing Telugu papers and on par with the Existing English Dailies in India.
The paper has been designed by well-known newspaper designer Mario Garcia, and claims to have an initial print run of more than 11 lakhs. It is competing with the current leader, Eenadu, in the Telugu market, which, as per ABC figures for July-December 2007, has an all India average net paid circulation of 11,76,028 copies.
Sakshi is toying with three taglines, though ‘Unnadhi Unnatugu’, which means ‘Fact as it is’, is most likely to find favor.
The Group is also launching a news channels platform by launching Sakshi TV by October 08.
