Sakri is a small town in the Dhule District of the Nashik division one of the six divisions of India's Maharashtra state
It is located on National Highway 6 running between Hazira (near Surat) in Gujarat to Kolkota, West bengal.
Balsane and Mangiji-Tungiji are two prominent Jain pilgrim centers very close to Sakri.
Sakri Tahasil has more than 200 small villages, most of tribes live in those villages such as Konkani, Mavachi, Bhill, Vanjari. The famous Kanhaiyalal Maharaj temple at Amali (taluka-Sakri) is 40 km away from Sakri towards (Gujarat). There are too many chalse in sakri
