It is connecting to the western and the eastern suburbs of the greater Mumbai. It's all covered between the slums and the industrial estates. Now its also booming up with call centers, commercial offices and hot properties.
The sakinaka junction is also famous for the mithi river, the traffic problems and the pollution.
This is the best place in Mumbai for the connectivity. From here you can go to andheri, goregaon, ghatkopar, powai, chandivali, seepz, the great KURLA, and any part of the world as the Mumbai International Airport is just adjoining this area.
