[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Dear Sajidshahbaz: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any dicussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! -- Samir धर्म 06:39, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:DSCN1896.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:DSCN1896.JPG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:05, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The article Sajidshahbaz

I don't know if it your intent, but you appear to have written article about yourself, containing the same content as your user page. While your accomplishments may merit a listing in the encyclopedia itself (I'm not fit to judge that), per Wikipedia policy, we must ask that you refrain from editing articles about yourself; due to the inherent conflict of interest involved. If the article is deemed acceptable by Wikipedia editors, you are welcome to suggest changes on its talk page; however, you should leave the actual writing of your biography to other editors.

If this was not your intent, let us know and the article will be quickly deleted. If you want, you can add {{db-author}} to the text of the article, and an admin will delete it for you.

Thanks,

--EngineerScotty 05:32, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

  • I have moved it to your user page. -- RHaworth 07:38, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Also we do not post articles or images more than once. Removing a tag from an image thus is pure vandalism - do not do it. There is no point in uploading images unless you use them in an article. -- RHaworth 07:49, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Islahi

Hi. You recreated the Islahi page with the same copyright violation material that it was deleted for. You must use sources--not copy them--and cite them properly. Please don't copy and paste from other websites. gren グレン 16:22, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:DSCN1896.JPG listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:DSCN1896.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. [edit] Javed Ahmed Ghamidi

I made a few changes in article on Javed Ahmad Ghamidi. I had to put a few more radical stances as these were constantly being put by someone else with a different tone, with which I was not comfortable. If you can check and correct it, it will be great. SaadSaleem 05:43, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
