Sajjangad ( A Spiritual Place of Well known Saint in Maharashtra Sajjangad is a popular place for pilgrims in Maharashtra. This is the well known place of Sant Ramdas Swami - Spiritual guru of Shivaji Maharaj. He lived here for last some years of his life and passed away here only. The maintenance of the fort and samadhi of Sant Ramdas is taken care by Shri Ramdas Swami Sansthan, a trust which has existed since the time of Shri Ramdas Swami.

The daily routine on the fort is fixed and strictly followed. It includes morning prayers, Abhishek and Puja, Maha Naivedya, Bhajans and reading of the manuscript Dasbodh written by Sant Ramdas. This is certainly a holy place and no bad behavior is allowed here. The main doors of the fort are closed on sunset to sunrise and hence you cannot enter the fort or even exit from the fort during this time.

Sant Ramdas was a strong man , he emphasized on the fact that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body.

Ramdas Swami built a strong generation of healthy youngsters with healthy minds in the period of muslim regime in maharashtra.His famous book "manache shlok" is nothing but advice to wise mind of a human being
