Sajeeb Wazed (Bangla: সজীব ওয়াজেদ) (born July 27, 1971) (also well known by his nickname Joy and also referred as Sajeeb Wazed Joy) is the son of Sheikh Hasina[1] and the grandson of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (the founding president of Bangladesh), is an IT professional by background[citation needed]. His early days were spent in boarding in St. Joseph's College, Nainital, India which is where he picked up his interest in computer Science.[citation needed]

Having a Bachelor of Science with a triple major in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science from St. Joseph's College of Science[citation needed], an affiliate of Bangalore University. He is also a graduate of the University of Texas in Arlington, Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering[citation needed]. He also got admitted in Masters of Public Administration program at the Kennedy School Of Government at Harvard University. Most recently he has been selected as one of 250 Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum.[citation needed][2]

He resides in the United States, and has been politically involved in the Awami League, including the campaign to bring the murderers of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to justice.[3] Most recently he has campaigned for Sheikh Hasina's release following her recent arrest.[4]
