[edit] Merger of Saiyuki Gunlock into Saiyuki Reload

I propose a merger of Saiyuki Gunlock into Saiyuki Reload.

  • They're both anime adaptations (season 1 and season 2) of the Saiyuki Reload manga.
  • Characters + voice actors are (mostly) identical.
  • Info can easily be put into one article, only the story can use a different subsection.

Any pro or cons? Ninja neko 19:49, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

I dunno, Dragonball & Dragonball Z come from the same manga, but they each have their own separate articles (granted one article for both series would be prohibitively large). and ghost in the shell Stand alone complex & 2nd gig each have their own separate articles, as do most of the tenchi muyo series and OVAs. i'm pretty sure that these two articles should be kept separate.69.217.91.251 03:08, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Reload Gunlock and Reload Are Not the Same

In terms of manga, they may come from the same series. However, in terms of anime, they are completely different series hence they should not be merged. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.156.14.10 (talk)

What is different? The plot and the theme songs? That could go in split sections then. Dragonball articles are too huge to be put on one page, but the info on these two could easily be put into one article. Ninja neko 19:23, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

If they have different names then most people will consider them to be distinct entities, not simply season one and season two. The point is made on the main article that characterisation etc differs across the various adaptations so maybe the articles should be edited to highlight differences. Just because the current differences are small doesn't mean the information should all be in one article, there's no harm in having both pages and it leaves people with the scope to develop the articles on each series. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.106.60.31 (talk) 22:44, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

  • I haven't seen this show, but I think the question of merging largely comes down to plot. If the story arc is self-contained and separate between the two seasons, it may as well be kept separate. Because the articles are currently rather small content-wise, there is a lot of redundant information. As the articles grow, there is a stronger potential for unique information in each. If they are merged, they can be split again later if/when content grows, so I wouldn't cry. -Verdatum (talk) 16:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:SaiyukiGroup.jpg

Image:SaiyukiGroup.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
