[edit] Articles for Deletion debate

This article survived an Articles for Deletion debate. The discussion can be found here. -Docg 01:05, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge/redirect

Suggest merging and redirecting until/unless secondary sources can be found. An article shouldn't be sustained as a stand-alone article in the absence of such sources -- it's impossible to expand such an article much beyond a stub without violating WP:NOR and WP:RS. Shimeru 21:17, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

I am ok with the merge now. I spent some time looking for secondary sources and couldn't find any. KnightLago 01:10, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
No problem with merging, if and when additional sources become available we can re-expand this article at that time. I'm a bit perplexed as to why some people choose to make this process so difficult.  :-/ Silensor 02:35, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
The reason I had to "make this process so difficult" is very clear if you just check the article's archives, as someone tried to redirect the article to its town's page, but this was reverted less than an hour later by someone citing the AfD being closed as a "keep". I've said the whole damn time that I would not at all be opposed to a redirect- even by DRV nomination states this. -- Kicking222 02:42, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Also, I know who tried to redirect and who reverted it, but the fact that they previously participated in this discussion is immaterial, which is why I simply went with "someone"s. I'm not passing judgement on anyone in particular (I'm certainly not saying it was wrong to revert, and the AfD was closed as a keep), just pointing out that above users went through steps that led me to send the article to DRV. -- Kicking222 02:44, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
That is what these talk page things are for. For me, the logical next step would have been to leave a kind message for the person who reverted your change, asking him to respond here, at Talk:Saint Mary's Catholic School to discuss the possibility of merging. In any case, I'm not opposed to the idea. Silensor 07:41, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay, then. Seeing no opposition, I am again redirecting the page. Shimeru 19:23, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
The reason for the lack of comment is that the article is going through a DRV, here. I am reverting the redirect since it should be left 'as is' so that anyone wishing to participate in the DRV can read the article. If the DRV is closed as 'Keep' then the article should stay. If the DRV goes 'Delete' then a redirect is correct. In any case a simple redirect was wrong - there was substantial content that should have been merged. BlueValour 23:30, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
You're right, my apologies. The DRV completely slipped my mind earlier. Will wait until its close. Shimeru 01:14, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DRV

The DRV closed as 'No consensus decision endorsed' here after a very thorough debate. Consequently, this article should remain as a separate article unless a future AfD determines otherwise. BlueValour 00:20, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
