[edit] Removed Saints Lucy and Geminian
Removed "Saints Lucy and Geminian" from the disambiguation page:
- No indication in the Lucy and Geminian article that English-language text refers to this saint using the Italian name.
- The Lucy and Geminian article says " should not be confused with the more well-known Lucy of Syracuse", whose article does say "also known as ... Santa Lucia".
- The Lucy and Geminian article says that Lucy of Syracuse is "more well-known". An English-language search for "Santa Lucia" is unlikely to have this Lucy in mind.
- No indication in the Lucy and Geminian article, nor in the article's Note #1, that one might search for this Lucy apart from Geminian.
Changed note for Saint Lucy to "a" instead of "the" Christian saint. Wpu27 21:08, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] suggest removing link to Saint Lucy's Day
The holiday is already linked at the Saint Lucy article. I question whether linking the holiday is needed in this disambiguation page. I don't see a form of "Santa Lucia" being used alone to refer to the day on this page: Saint Lucy's Day.
This is unlike the situation for Christmas day which redirects to Christmas. -Wpu27 (talk) 23:12, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] page structure
The page structure at Christmas (disambiguation) may be a useful model here:
- Contents
- 1 People
- 2 Places
- 3 Music
- 4 Other uses
- 5 See also

[edit] using a single language in the proper name for this page
I suggest renaming this page to "Santa Lucia (disambiguation)"
The current name of this page, "Saint Lucia (disambiguation)", contains a mix of languages in the proper name: "Saint" is English, "Lucia" is Italian.
The article starts out, "Saint Lucy, a Christian saint known as Santa Lucia in Italian and Santa Lucía in Spanish ..."
It does not say that she is often known by the name "Saint Lucia" – which is a mixture of two languages.
One might argue for using a single language throughout the entire title: "Saint Lucy (disambiguation)", but most of the place names and other links are closer to "Santa Lucia".
There is already a Saint Lucy page.
There is already a Santa Lucia page. The page name there is already distinct from the proposed name for this page which includes "(disambiguation)", but it might make sense to rename that page "Santa Lucia (song)" to add clarity.
Note: this is the third section that I added to this talk page within a matter of minutes. I kept them separate because they are separate issues. If viewing this text because a watch list alerted you to the addition of this section, please also review the other two sections. -Wpu27 (talk) 23:19, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
