Talk:Saint Joseph's Institution, Singapore
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hey, there's no mention about the Student Senate (didn't they have a special vest or something?) and it wouldn't be fair to single out BP's contribution as a principals without mentioning the legacy of each and every principal before and after him.
There's also skimpy information about the school history. When i was in sec 1 in 1991, the last batch of normal (technical) boys were graduating. there's no mention of CJC being an offshoot of SJI, or that SJI offered pre-university education to both sexes in the past.
there also should be some mention of SJI as a catholic school amonst the pool of catholic schools in Singapore. the thrust about providing schooling in a catholic environment is lacking.
I believe the date given of 1990 for the ministry of education "inviting" SJI to be indepedent is incorrect. I was the in the first batch of students in 1988 to start at the Malcolm Road (and pay the higher fees). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.0.77.240 (talk) 03:05, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
