Sainte-Marie is a commune in the French overseas département of Réunion. It is located on the north side of the island of Réunion, just east of, and adjacent to, the administrative center (préfecture) of Saint-Denis. In the 1999 census, Sainte-Marie had a population of 26,582. The commune has a land area of 87.21 km² (33.672 sq mi).
