Saint John's International School (Thai: โรงเรียนนานาชาติเซนต์จอห์น) (SJIS) is an international school established in 1991by Ajarn Samai Chinnapa within Saint John's Group of Schools and University (established in 1961). The school opened under the leadership of Mr Alun Thomas as founding Headmaster who left in August 2000. Mr Thomas was instrumental in securing the schools first accreditation with WES and planning for the new campus. Mr Bruce Gamwell became Headmaster in 2000 and led the school through its transition from being part of the Thai school complex to its own separate campus. Mr Gamwell led the school until August 2004 when Mr Martin Scott took over as Headmaster. Under Mr Scott's leadership the school secured a second five year period of accreditation and initiated CIS accreditation, as well as becoming an International Award school. In 2006 the International School amalgamated with St.John's North American High School Programme so as to offer American style education alongside the UK National curriculum. Mr Scott left the school in 2007 and was replaced by the Deputy Headmaster, Mr John Boakes.
It is located in Bangkok, Thailand. Known as one of the top British international schools in Thailand and one of five schools recommended by the British Embassy in Bangkok, the school offers the British Curriculum (See Education in England) from Nursery to Secondary (Nursery-Year 13) and the North American Curriculum in Secondary (Grade 11-12)
