Saint Ceallach (Celsus) was born in 1080. He became abbot of Armagh in 1105 and was ordained priest.
He was influenced by the reform then in progress in Munster. He presided at the synod of Rathbreasail in 1111. In 1129 on a visitation of Munster he died and was buried in Lismore at his own request.
