Saint Camillus Academy

St. Camillus Academy is a Catholic school located in Corbin, Kentucky, in the United States. The school. located in the Knox County portion of the city, was founded in 1908 by the [[Sisters of Divine Providence] with the help of the Diocese of Covington. The Sisters of Divine Providence were originally a French congregation which focused to education and health care. The campus is set in a rural area of Southeastern Kentucky in the small town of Corbin. Over the years improvements have been made and currently St. Camillus Academy consists of three buildings, a green house, and a variety of out door classrooms.
The current principal is Sr. Juanita Nadicksbernd. The St. Camillus includes students from Pre-k Montessori to 8th grade. The sisters and staff strive to create an atmosphere where every student can succeed at his/her own rate. The school as a whole scores in 70% or better on national tests and the academic teams do well in competition. SCA has a strong environmental friendly policy. Parents are invited to interact with teachers to provide every opportunity for their child's success. Students are encouraged to give of their time and talents to many projects both on campus and off. St. Camillus has a long standing tradition for academic excellence and building of character.
