Sail Away is a musical with a book, music and lyrics by Noël Coward.
Produced by Bonard Productions, the Broadway production, opened on October 3, 1961 at the Broadhurst Theatre, where it ran for 167 performances. Coward directed the production, and the cast starred Elaine Stritch.
Not only did Noël Coward write the book, music and lyrics, and also directed the show, he even drew the sketch for the logo! This show is set mostly onboard the steamship, Coronia, and was written by Noel Coward especially for Elaine Stritch. The most famous song from the show, sung by Elaine Stritch, is "Why Do the Wrong People Travel?"
