Image of a generic Sailor Senshi (from the Sailor Moon series) to illustrate the standard uniform used in that series. Created by Masamage in Inkscape.

Costume design by Naoko Takeuchi based on the Sailor fuku school uniforms.

[edit] Fair use for Sailor Senshi

Although this is a self-created image, the subject matter is a costume design created by Naoko Takeuchi. As it is based heavily on the design of Japanese school uniforms, it may or may not be covered by copyright. Even if it is, I, Masamage, feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

it is a self-made diagram of costume changes that are never charted in any official work;
it does not limit the copyright owners' rights to sell the wider copyrighted work in any way;
it provides an illustration of this uniform in the series, and is to be used solely for this purpose.
