Sahr Senesie (born on June 20, 1985 in Koidu Town, Sierra Leone) is a Sierra Leonean footballer, who is currently playing as a striker for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga. He is a product of Borussia Dortmund youth set-up to the senior squad. Senesie is rated as one of the best young footballers in Germany. He is also capable of playing as a left winger or as an attacking midfielder.

Sanessie was born in Koidu Town, Kono District to parents from the Kono ethnic group. In 1995, the 10 year old sannesie fled his native Sierra Leone during the Sierra Leone civil war and moved to Dortmund, Germany. In 1999, While in Germany he was scouted by Borussia Dortmund youth coach while playing street football. The coach brought him to Borussia Dortmund under-16 team. During his first season with the youth team, Sanesie was the team leading scorer. He joined the Borussia Dortmuond under-19 youth and lead the teams to two junior Bundesliga titles. After several successful seasons with the youth team, Sanessie moved to the senior Bourussia Dortmond team in 2005 in a deal worth €700,000 or 1.4 million U.S. dollars.
