Sahibzada Pir Mohammed Azhar Bakoti

Sahibzada Pir Azhar Bakoti is the grandson of Hadhrat Molana Pir Fakir-u-llah Bakoti and a renowned politician of Circle Bakote. As an elder son of Hadhrat Pir Haqiqullah Bakoti politics was female slave of his house.

He attended High School in Bakote and graduated from the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir. He got religious education from Kashmiri Scholars.

After graduation Sahibzada Bakoti succeed as chief of the Bakote Sharif Shrine. He participated in the district election of 1970 and succeeded with a majority of the votes. But he lost his political position to Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan when Sardar Khan started his political career in Circle Bakote. He was defeated by a local conciliar Aftab Abbasi in the 2001 local elections when he lost his seat in Bakote Union Council - his home constituency. He is also engaged in family disputes in Bakote Sharief and also his native family property in Pajja Sharief, Azad Kashmir. He has no attention on the situation of Bakote Sharief Shrine, it was destroyed completely during the Earthquake of 2005. He reuned all local cultural values under local fundamentalists mullahs' influence on the tomb of Hadhrat Pir Faqir-u-llah Bakoti. Some plus points goes him that he and his family as Sahibzada Pir Mohammed Zahir Bakoti and Pir Abdul Majid Bakoti are very high standered of Hijab (Perda) and hospitality. No visitor of Shrine has special status. His and his brother ladies and gentlemen high qualified not only in modern education but also in religious teaching of theosophy of Islam.

Sahibzada Pir Azhar Bakoti and his son Pir Qasim Bakoti have filed their nomination paper against National and provincial assemblies constituencies NA 17 and PF 45.
